The High Forest Rumble Best Bike 1st Place winner on Sunday, was Ernie Post of Summertown, TN. His daily ride is a 97'Harley Davidson build with a Delkron motor with a Delkron 5 speed transmission, Harley sheet metal and an "old" Flathead front end. The judges were impressed with the functionality of the bike and that Ernie rides it everyday! Shown in the photo is Ernie Post accepting the 1st Place Trophy from High Forest Rumble Producer, Denny Keitzman
Two guitar legends, Will McFarlane (Bonnie Rait Live band, Muscle Shoals studio musician and member of the Musician's Hall of Fame as a member of "The Swampers") and Kelvin Holly (Little Richard and Amazing Rhythm Aces live bands, and long time Muscle Shoals studio musician) drop the old time rock and roll and blues... from BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughn to The Rolling Stones and lots more in between.. wowed the audience as they perform with some of the sons of longtime Muscle Shoals musicians in the incredible band Fathers and Sons on Saturday night at the High Forest Rumble.
The Story

In the fall of 2014, Bill Hibbits, owner of the Tennessee National Raceway, and Denny Keitzman, President of Cool Springs Live (an event activation company), were discussing ideas for possible additional events and activities to be held at the Raceway property in Hohenwald, Tennessee.

Denny, a motorcycle rider for several years mentioned that an age old question in every rider’s mind, is…  “Where are we going to go?”.

Both are Hohenwald residents and motorcycle enthusiasts, Bill and Denny recognized that a ride to Hohenwald… from almost any direction, was an outstanding ride experience.  Hohenwald is located very near the Natchez Trace National Parkway; actually, two Natchez Trace exits serve Hohenwald (US Highway 412 and Tennessee Highway 20).  The fact that the Natchez Trace is already a popular motorcycle ride experience was a major plus.

Blending both thoughts, enthusiasts would come into Hohenwald from any direction and enjoy a ride on roads with great character and beauty.  Arriving at the Tennessee National Raceway (located just west of Hohenwald on US Highway 412), they would be greeted with an area transformed into an exciting, fun, yet safe and family friendly destination for Motorcycle Enthusiasts and riders of all ages.  The High Forest Rumble Rallies were born!

A destination that offers vendors of motorcycle friendly merchandise, a wide selection of food and beverage opportunities, motorcycle centered games and contests, live music, fun and fellowship as you meet other Enthusiasts from all over the Mid-South.

A two-day ticket is only $15.  Each two day ticket will automatically allow you one chance at winning a new motorcycle that will be given away at the last event of the season.  Additional chances may be purchased at the event.  You do not need to be present to win.

A single day ticket is available for $10.  Each single day ticket will automatically put you in a different gift drawing.

Motorcycle Enthusiasts are very supportive of our Veteran Heroes that have made the journey home from combat.  We are making it a high priority to develop creative ways to generate a significant donation to The Journey Home Project as major part of each High Forest Rumble event.  The Journey Home Project, recently founded by Charlie Daniels, distributes 100% of their proceeds directly to the support of veterans.  We are exploring various fundraising options and they may include:  A pancake and sausage breakfast, raffles for motorcycle friendly items, silent auctions or Poker Runs.

If you have ideas that will help us make the High Forest Rumble Rallies better, we would love to hear them.   It is important to us that you to feel like these events are made for you; after all, we are all part of the family!
